Beaver Eye Care has been serving Sioux Center and the surrounding area since 1989. Our optometrists are dedicated to providing patients with quality eye care. We also have energetic staff and assistants who help in making your visit a pleasant experience.
Dr. Paul Beaver
Paul Beaver founded Beaver Eye Care in 1989. Dr. Beaver is originally from Sioux Center. He graduated from Augustana College in 1985 and then went on to graduate from Illinois College of Optometry in 1989. He enjoys people and the challenge of getting patients to see clearly and comfortably. He has the privilege of seeing second and sometimes third generation patients. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and collecting football cards.
Dr. Rees Beaver
Dr. Beaver is a Sioux Center native. He graduated from Dordt College with a degree in Biology, and then attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, IL. Rees is a second generation Optometrist, and has wanted to work with eyes since he was young. Rees and his wife Logan live in Sioux Center, where they enjoy spending time with family, golfing, and watching sports.
Dr. Dan Clousing
Dr. Daniel Clousing joined Beaver Eye Care in 2013. He is originally from Sioux Center. He graduated from Calvin College with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and then went on to graduate from Indiana University School of Optometry in 2008. Before Beaver Eye Care, he practiced in Denver, CO, for one year and Rapid City, SD, for four years. His eye care interests include all aspects of contact lenses, as well as ocular disease and pediatric eye care. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family (wife and three children). He also likes most outdoor activities including fishing, hunting, and golfing.
Dr. Madison Borchers
Dr. Madison is a Sioux Center Native. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern College she attended Indiana University School of Optometry for her Doctorate of Optometry. Madison, Dr. Beaver’s daughter, is dedicated to helping patient’s see clearly. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading in her free time.
Susan
Susan graduated from MOC-FV in 2007 and went on to graduate from Northwestern College in 2011 with a degree in Business. She has been employed at Beaver Eye Care since 2011. She handles insurance claims and billing. In her free time, Susan enjoys cheering on the Minnesota Vikings and spending time with her family.
Pam
Pam, a 2013 graduate of Sioux Center High School, joined Beaver Eye Care in 2019. She is fluent in Spanish and enjoys using her language skills to help interpret for patients. Pam also loves assisting patients in finding the perfect pair of glasses that suit their style and vision needs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, dog, family, and watching football.
Alexa
Alexa graduated from Unity Christian High School in 2013. She started at Beaver Eye Care in 2015. She speaks spanish and enjoys interpreting for patients as well as helping patients pick out glasses. Alexa herself is a HUGE glasses lover! In her free time, Alexa enjoys spending time with her husband, 3 daughters, family and friends.
Josie
Josie, a graduate of Unity Christian, earned her bachelor’s degree in Business with a focus on Human Resources. She is one of the welcoming faces at Beaver Eye Care, where she greets patients, schedules appointments, and assists them in finding the perfect pair of glasses. Outside the office, Josie enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Kelsey
Kelsey, a graduate of Trinity Christian, joined Beaver Eye Care in 2023. She loves all things eyewear – from helping patients find the perfect frames to adjusting them for the ideal fit (and wearing a few pairs herself!). Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and shopping.
